Complete Medical Assessment
A thorough medical assessment is centered around a thorough physical examination. Your pet's eyes, ears, mouth and teeth, lymph nodes, skin, joints, cardiovascular system, neurological system, and gastrointestinal system are assessed. If necessary, further testing such as blood and urine tests may be recommended to assess the function of your pet's liver, kidneys, pancreas, gastrointestinal tract, urinary tract, and hematological system (red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets). Depending on the situation, there may be the need for radiographs (x-rays), ultrasound, or surgery to aid in diagnosis of an illness.
